Clean Green Soulful Internship Program
A New York workforce-aligned internship for youth and emerging professionals who want hands-on exposure to beauty, wellness, community health, education support, green careers, and career readiness. These tracks are workforce exposure and readiness pathways only; we do not offer or issue licenses through this internship. Qualified participants may be connected to Workforce1 Earn & Learn opportunities when available.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Nine New York workforce tracks, one career-building experience
Interns learn through guided assignments, mentorship, service exposure, and reflection. Each track connects technical skills with employability, documentation, wellness, sustainability, and community impact.
Beauty Services & Customer Care
Salon readiness, client intake, sanitation habits, retail literacy, appointment flow, and professional communication.
Health-Supportive Wig Care
Medical wig awareness, compassionate service, privacy, documentation habits, and care-room professionalism.
Trichology & Wellness Basics
Scalp wellness awareness, hair-loss sensitivity, consultation language, referral-minded care, and wellness education.
Green Workforce & Operations
Clean-care routines, sustainable operations, inventory support, environmental literacy, and community health awareness.
Teacher Assistant
Classroom support, youth engagement, lesson preparation, communication habits, and education career readiness.
Behavior Technician
Observation skills, supportive communication, care-team professionalism, documentation basics, and behavior-health workplace readiness.
Community Health Worker
Health outreach, resource navigation, client advocacy, neighborhood wellness, referral awareness, and community-based care skills.
Energy Efficiency Technician
Building performance awareness, weatherization basics, green operations, safety habits, and clean-energy career readiness.
Human Resources
Workplace communication, onboarding support, records awareness, scheduling basics, confidentiality, and people-operations readiness.
Who can apply
Youth, young adults, career changers, beauty students, salon assistants, community program participants, and emerging professionals in New York who are ready to learn, show up consistently, and grow through feedback.
What interns receive
Mentorship, weekly learning goals, service exposure, career-readiness coaching, a participation/completion letter, and a documented next-step plan for apprenticeship, training, employment, entrepreneurship, Workforce1 Earn & Learn opportunities, or continued support. Completion does not equal licensure or certification.
HOW IT WORKS
A clear path from interest to completion
The internship is designed to be structured enough for accountability and flexible enough to support school, work, and family schedules.

Interest form
Share your goals, age range, availability, borough or service area, and preferred workforce track so we can recommend the right pathway.

Orientation
Meet the program team, review expectations, choose learning goals, discuss documentation needs, and confirm the weekly schedule.

Guided placement
Complete weekly assignments, mentorship check-ins, observation hours, employability activities, and guided workforce-readiness practice.

Final pathway plan
Finish with a participation/completion letter, reflection, and next-step plan for apprenticeship, training, work, entrepreneurship, partner referral, or Workforce1 Earn & Learn connection if qualified and available. This internship does not provide a license.

Do I need experience? No. We welcome beginners, emerging beauty professionals, and career changers who are ready to learn and participate consistently.
Is the internship paid or licensed? Some placements or Workforce1 Earn & Learn opportunities may be available for qualified participants depending on funding, partner requirements, and availability. The internship does not offer or issue any professional license.
Can I choose my track? Yes. We help match your interests with the best available New York workforce track, mentor, schedule, and next-step pathway.
What happens after completion? Interns leave with a participation/completion letter and pathway plan for training, apprenticeship, employment, entrepreneurship, partner referral, Workforce1 Earn & Learn connection if qualified, or continued mentorship. This is not a license or certification.
